GB: REMOTE START GROUP BUY-SOCAL BUYERS!

A couple weeks ago I ran into Virgilson's thread about remote starting. I figured that most of the celicas on this site were probably sticks, but for those of you So.Cal ppl I know some people that own a couple audio shops/ tuner shops and i talked to the owner about our site and how we spend every last penny we can on our cars. I told him to give me a real good deal on a car alarm w/ remote start abilities and I would post a thread about it on the shop. His price is $225.00 installed w/ lifetime warranty. I should have waited till later on in the week to post this thread to get all the details on the alarm system but I wanted to let you guys know about this ASAP. The owner didnt give me a minimum amount of people to go, but I figure I at least have to show up 5 at a time. This price will hold for a long time, so whenever 5 people decide on this then its a go. The name of the alarm company is "Devastator" and it comes with the screen that shows you what is being done to your car..for example if someone is trying to open it, or hit it. i dont know the range or all of the features. He did tell me something about paging. I have the lower model of this alarm on my car and it works great, never had a problem with it. But since my car is a stick I cant get the remote start. For those of you stick shifts that still want remote start...No they will not install a remote start on a stick shift...and im not making any money on this, this is solely to help you guys out. And if you have any other questions about any other audio products you can message me and ill check it out for you guys also!

ok, well ill get the specs of the alarm this weekend. the model # and everything. the shop is in san bernardino. and as much as i would like to help everyone out with buying and shipping it to you, i honestly dont have the time to. sorry, but for so cal people when it gets to be about 5 ppl ill let them know what day we are coming by and all of the alarms can be installed in one day. and to be honest with you guys i know its not viper or clifford. "devastator" is what it says on my alarm pad. so i think thats the name of the company. i know many people that have the remote start already and ive heard no complaints. my alarm has never acted up. and i know most people pay like 400 bucks if you just walk in and get it...350 if your friends with a salesman...but i was pretty psyched when the owner told be $225.00 installed and w/ lifetime warranty!!! so anywayz enough talk..ill post pics of the boxes this weekend..monday latest!and i will start making a list on tuesday!

it will but then you get into leaving your car in nuetral all of the time and overiding the clutch..all stuff the audio place doesnt want to mess with, that and liability issues if for some crazy reason you leave your car in first and turn your car on and you emerency brake fails and your car moves...so autos are the only thing they want to install remote start on. if you want a regular alarm its 100 bucks, but thats a whole diff thing..u can go in whenever to do that there, just say hector sent you.

hey hector find out if its the Clifford RSX 3.5 thats a damn good price...

just a heads up tho guys.. the people with manual celica's shouldn't get a remote start, the car tends to jump forward when you hit the remote start which can obviously hurt your baby bad..most shops wont even install because of that reason.. good luck with the GB! thumbsup

For all those people that ar very good at noticing things, yes that is a celica on the box. and that list on pic # 1 says what the alarm includes. it would be a very long explanation to tell you guys what eachone means. but basically it will do pretty much everything your clifford or viper alarm will do im told. but the company is based in the usa and i dont think its a huge company. it does have remote start and an alarm. valet alarm settings. and well basically the works. any specific questions pm me. thumbsup

Hey Hector, I got recommended by my buddy to this place called "Pacific Stereo" and he recommended for me to talk to Joe. I went to pacific stereo today and I talked Joe. I talked to him about the site and told him if he could give me a good deal on group buy. He got other stuff like Clifford, Viper, etc. But I narrow it down to Vipor 791xv and Prestige Informer. I was more interested in Prestige informer, it pretty much do everything w/ 7 channel and better quality. He said he'll give it to me install for $340 w/ labor and parts life time warranty. That if I could bring him at least 3-4 cars. I was trying for more lower price, but he said he got to make a bit of money, which I could understand. What do you think? he got other brand also. We could come down there and get different brand alarm/keyless/remote start on our car but a slight different in cost. Lower or higher depends on the quality He doesn't like Devastator and he said he could give it to us for 200 and some changes. I don't know how much is some changes, but I'm sure he can beat it. He is also selling stereo, If anyone want a group buy for this, let me know what brand and what kind, We'll start a group buy. And No I don't make any money for this, and I don't know the sales man. Anybody want to jump on this?
