Armor All = very bad. Many people have had problems with their dashes cracking after using it for a while. Protectant is supposed to prevent that from happening, not accelerate it. Get Vinylex. It's a protectant that restores the plasticizers in vinyl, rubber, and plastic (stuff that keeps them flexible). It also has UV protection, doesn't smell nasty, isn't excessive greasy, and won't make the dash so shiny that it'll blind you on a sunny day. smile It's also good for use on weatherstripping, the black trim on the outside of the car, all the rubber and plastic in the engine bay, and the tires (makes them black again grin ).

That's what someone once told me. Turtle Wax products are supposed to suck too.

I use that stuff also. Good stuff. Here in NJ I can get it at any local parts store and every car wash. Definitely don't use Armor All.

I use armorall cleaning wipes, armorall vinyl/plastic protectant wipes, and armorall one step leather cleaner/protectant. The previous owner of my car used the same type of armorall products since he bought it in 2000...and it looks gorgeous to me...no problems whatsoever

Armor All uses silicone in their cleaners, which eats away at rubber/vinyl/plastic. Same reason you're not supposed to use WD-40 on rubber and plastic inside and outside the engine bay.
