this dyno looks more optimistic. baseline was a aem cai and trd exhaust. this was a 6-sp gts. dyno taken from NC

So basically, if you already have aftermarket intake/exhaust on your car, don't expect big gains from the headers. I guess all those claims of high horsepower gains from the headers were from stock celicas! frown

Man, that is sad. Very minimal HP gains and actual loss of HP at many different RMP points. thumbsdown

basicaly.

the header seems to help at low end and gain some at lift. the stock header does not seem to be that restrictive and as long as you have an intake and exhaust you're good to go.

^^ tpr's header is looking more optimistic by the day. they plan to also make an up-pipe that uses a less restrictive cat.

at least this way we can eliminate all the bottlenecks in one shot..rather than still having the cat restrict us even with i/e/h

I'm still waiting for more dynos on this header. I don't plan to get it or did I ever buy into the under $300 header for our cars that will make up to or 10 WHP. Plus the problems with it besides the cheap construction and leaks that were fixed by us. I'm sorry for those that bought it and waited for it. Plus the money spent for the ones not knowledgeable enough to install it themselves. That's a big waste of time and money. Those should have gotten some ground wires and the AEM pulleys that make about the same HP and with much less hassle to say the least.

I'm still waiting on the dynos.

TPR Intake! - Injens high end with AEM's low end and NO BOGGING!
TPR EXHAUST! - Exhaust made 10.5 whp peak and 32 whp at 6300 on my car!!!

In terms of headers, I don't think there'll be a big difference in performance gains from one brand to another... their build up are pretty much the same. Not saying there aren't good ones and bad ones, but for me personally it's gonna be down to $$$!

Trial is basically the same, but about $500 more expensive. And shinier. grin Their designs are basically the same, but from pics I've seen, DC's piping looks smoother.

DC did make 10whp... on a stock Celica. rolleyes Unfortunately, nobody really buys a header as their first power mod. wink

Not TPR's! thumbsup It will look similar in design to this:

The other headers out there are just using the stock header's design with bigger piping and smoother bends, but TPR's will be a unique design with better tuning.

yup, trial was about the same only more losses at lift.

I'm still skeptical of the 2 trial dynos that both showed a 6hp gain. it's only happened twice and I very much dont agree with the dynos. 1 of them in particular also dynoed almost 195whp with I/H/E/power fc without tuning it to make power. I think it's a case of optimistic dyno.
