isaac's right about the gas cap. I just recently bought one from Toyota at $15. Just went in and got it. Other places are around $5 and they all do the same thing. I just wanted a genuine Toyota cap so they don't have to stop their streak of screwing me over for big or little things.

you have to be careful though. I dont know about other states, but in Texas, they run a test when your car is being inspected to make sure your gas tank seals properly, and it may not with a different gas cap. I dont know for sure, but thats just something to think about. You'd be better off to just buy the toyota one if you dont want to have to worry.

Sure enough it did today. I'mma pick up a gas cap 2day. If I reset the ECU would the CEL go away? Or should I take it in to get the CODE?

Get the code checked just to make sure it's not something else. Buy a gas cap that has a key lock so you don't get mess with. thumbsup

Does Toyota charge to get a code read out? Or is there a place I can take it to in the LA area?

^^ the door covers? yeah they are bank. 160 seems like one of the cheaper ones. you could just get an overlay to make it look like you changed it but seems kinda pointless to me unless you get the real thing.
