holy shit 122! i was pulled over last weak for goin 88 but he gave me a 300 dollar ticket. i had a radar detector too. umm i would say your best bet is to either get a good lawyer and make up a reason for speeding or ... don't know

If you were going 122 mph your not gonna get off easy. I know kids who went over 100 mph and got their license taken away because of it. I don't want some kid driving that fast that could end up losing control and end up killing me, my friends or family members. Especially since you are just learning how to drive. Whatever punishment you get you deserve.

tell your parents that you were being a fool, and that this speeding mayhem would not happen again. say" i've damn learned my lesson and i feel ever so penitent of my brash action." maybe that'll help with the parents. if not...talk about the time when one or both of your parents got tickets for speeding ( if they had any)
as for the ticket and getting your liscence taken away...tell them you need to go to school everyday and that you have no other way of getting there...my sister got her liscence taken away, but they allowed her to drive only to school and home, thats it. (better that not driving at all) but if they caught her on a different route or far from the school area, then she would have been fucked. so if you get to keep your liscence to drive to school, dont take advantage of it and drive halfway across state. then no-one could help you... well thats all I have to say. I cant guarantee all of this but worked for my sis. oh yeah and be sure to put on a sorry face when you see the judge. he might pity you.

Get a lawyer, pay $50-$100 for their services, get no points on your license, and pay a fine.

Case closed.

anything over 100 is reckless endangerment.

was caught doing 115 in a 65. total was a fine of 400 dollars 1 point and a 300 dollar attorney fee i was 22 at the time.

since your young and where doing 122 all i can say is bring a bottle of vaseline and get a lawyer. i wouldnt be surprised if they took your license or restricted you to only drive to school and back. and a heavy fine.

Get representation, your probably gonna get a 1 year suspension & then when you get it back, you won't be able to afford the insurance for about 4 years. Enjoy what time you have left driving around & wait for your court date. cry

My lawyer back in new york was good and charges me a min of 250 per ticket but thats for normal speeding and such. Id expect you to pay at least 400 for a ticket that big cause the lawyers really gonna have to work the DA down.

Bring the KY, because your age group is not looked at very well anywhere in court. Better be on your best behavior and beg for forgiveness + ask if there is anyway you could pay a fine or do community service, volunteer for anything they ask. Not to mention your insurance rate is going to go thru the roof if they find out.

Trust me this comes from a guy that used to speed all the time, had nine speeding tickets when I had my 280Z year ago. Don't get me wrong I still speed but not to often. I only do it where it's controlled. Once on a very long bridge with no other cars and the other thru a tunnel with no other cars.

Another thing to do is write a letter to the police officer, make sure you are very professional. Get it to him before court, tell him you where a fool and played to many video games, get your parents help if needed. wave

He's only sixteen. There's no way he's only gonna get a four point ticket. You'll get two more points(8) when you turn eighteen. But that's pretty much useless at this point. Going over 100, like stated above, is reckless endangerment. Espescially if it was in Denver.

Bottom line: it sounds bad, but you can kiss your license goodbye, whether or not you have a lawyer. Save that money for some other use. You'll hafta take traffic school whether or not you want to.

Also,I noted that you're from Colorado too. Same here. The cops here are absolute fucks. I got a 6 pointer going 80 in a 55. I went to class, and got it dropped to a two pointer. That's being an 18 yr old who had a clean record. There was a pretty fat fine attached too. 122 in a what zone? Where at?

You do not deserve to be anywhere near a car!

I can't believe you are even persuing to get a restricted license to drive again... You could have killed someone! Honestly I don't care if you get killed but someone I know might have gotten killed along with your reckless driving... If you want to speed that much... Then take it to the track where people know they are at risk... Don't endanger other people's lives so you can go 122 mph in your car...

Btw... Say hi to insurance for me... It's people like you who keep jacking up the premiums and forcing teens to shell out more for insurance (And Celica owners)...

16 yr old kid going 125 mph hit a girl and killed her. this was about 6 months ago, and about a month ago the judge found him guilty, and that kid's life is not pretty now. he won't goto jail, but his license is restricted to shcool only, has to drive a lower powered car, and bumpersticker htat warns other drivers.

saw it on the news

Yeah, definetely kiss your licesne goodbye.

122-75=47. Not to mention the reckless as well. You're required to appear in court going 20 over. Like someone else said...you just dropped the soap in the slammer's shower. Bend over and scream into a pillow.

wear a suit and tie for the court date...whatever will help

not that it will help much...seriously I don't think any judge will have pity on a 16 year-old driving 122 MPH.

You don't deserve your Celica...by driving recklessly you only help people to give this car and its drivers a bad rep. I drive like everyone will judge every other Celica based on how I drive, because that's what they do.

Thanks for the higher insurance premiums.

alright kid...I work for an attorney and run the office here in Atlanta...this is the scoop...YOUR LICENSE IS GONE!!!...unless you read the paragraph I typed below... Most courts seriously look down on triple digit speeds, and taking away a license for 6 months to a year is nomally the penalty as well as your new insurance bill is going to annihilate you.

wave wave waveHowever...if you were try to weasel out of it, try this...it works...go to a defensive driving school before the court date, and have the completion certificate walking into the court room. Also, get a lawyer...honestly it wil be somewhere between $350 and $500...any more than that and your getting railed...As for the court date, check this out...Most courts will let you plead guilty, not Guilty or what is called NOLO Contendere to a plea...the last one is setup here in GA, but most states and legal systems have a setup like that. You get 1 Nolo Plea every 5 years, and what it means is that you are not saying you are guilty, and you are not saying that you are not...it will keep your license and you won't have any points assessed against you (no high insurance bill)...but remember, you only get one every 5 years according to most of the states that have somethinglike this set up...Good luck...and yes, you are a dumbass for driving anywhere near that on a trafficed highway
