^^^ Valvoline Synpower is a full synthetic oil and that's what I'm using now. Durablend is a mixture of conventional oil and synthetic additives, it's not a full synthetic like Synpower.

And, I've never had any problems ever with FRAM oil filters. That's all I've used on my previous vehicles and now my Celica. No leaks or breaks!

^^well that's good to hear, as long as it's full synthetic then u're good to go..just stick with it..but if you like Fram then stay with it, i wouldn't..don't want to take that risk of leakage..

NO probs with fram either...That's all i have ever used. Did you put oil on the gasket before screwing it on??? Anyway, I just switched to royal purple full syn. That shit is expensive, but the car feels like it runs a ton smoother, and quieter too.

FRAM has no where near the amount of filtering media of a standard Toyota filter. Also, for when the engine is not running, they have a leaky drainback valve. I wouldn't touch 'em. Here's an oil filter comparison/study link:

Just about the only good feature I can think of on a Fram filter is the built in gripping surface.

^^^ The website you provided me from above was more than enough information to change my mind. Even though I havent had any problems with FRAM oil filters, there quality is shit.

Great information thumbsup

IMO, Toyoto OEM filters are far better than most aftermarket. I would go with them. thumbsup

So, do you just goto a Toyota dealership and pick one up? And just wondering how much?
