So what inch replacement air filter should I get for my Injen intake. I'm too lazy to look it up and don't want to take the risk of cleaning it with the K&N filter cleaner. I bought it right here of the ecelica store. Thanks for the answers.

clean it. I just did mine today. Piece of cake man. Easy as hell & cheaper than a new filter. If you insist on buying a new one, I'll pay shipping for you to send me your old one so I can have a spare. grin

i have injen short ram intake and the filter size is 2.75 inches. Most of the filters at autozone and stuff are 3 inch filters so dont get those. Go to optauto.com and they got replacement injen or k&n filters that are 2.75 inches.

I don't know for sure the size, but all I know is what I've been preaching. I have an Apex-i knockoff with an open end funnel element on my CAI. This costs me $20 w/install. I told the shop hook me up!! I've had no problems ever with it (bogging/hesitation/Cels) and acceleration seems the same as my original K&N on my Injen CAI (never bogging, and no hesitation). This is a dry filter type also. So now I have my clean K&N filter and this one. You got to love it and I don't care if you don't. I never had any major problems with my CAI including emissions as I did switching filters to the cheap one and passed emissions not once, not twice, but three times. So screw Injen on that part and screw NJ on my blue balls... I mean bulbs. I passed and killed a S2000 on the way home. Street racing is a no-no so no sories.

My Injen was 2.75 inch,

Link to the Injen filter store:

K&N makes filters to fit just about anything.

K&N Universal Air Filters with Custom Caps;

the inverted top model looks like it will really suck, I mean that in a good way of course

Just be sure to pick a filter with the same dimensions as your Injen

Cleaning them is a good way to go, but it is nice to have a spare clean one for quick swap out.

Yeah, cleaning it is a breeze. Get the cleaning kit (you can use it more than once, I've used mine 3 times already and there is still plenty left) Pull your filter, tap the gunk out of it lightly. Use a paint brush to sweet a bit more out. Then soak it with the cleaner reall well. (It smells like old wet socks) let it soak for 10 minutes.

Then run it under the tap, but be sure to have the tap on the inside of the filter so it's pushing all the dirt etc out. Let it dry overnight. Don't use a blow dryer, or heat gun or heater as it will shrink the stuff and screw it up. Let it dry overnight and then in the morning lightly oil it with the spray oil.

Done. grin

Or mail it to me. grin

If you just bought an Air Intake, the filter comes pre-oiled. If it's not new, and your cleaning it, read below:

puke Yeah it's bad! The reason you oil your filter in the first place, is so that it can catch the dust and dirt particals from getting into your engine.

Always, always! after you clean your filter, let it dry 100% and "re-oil" it. Then re-install your filter.

You should be fine, but I would recommend cleaning your intake pipe and MAFS from dust and what not. And get that filter oiled thumbsup
