will trunk shocks from pep boys, autozone, etc. be strong enough

for my car? i have the wings west fiberglass wing. sometimes the trunk stays up and other times not. i guess it kinda depends on the temperature and stuff like that. but anyway pep boys had them for $42. i just wanna know if those will be strong enough for me. i know from the dealer there are different types. like the ones with the a/p came with stronger shocks because of the wing. thanks in advance.

if you compare the strenghs of the shocks and get a higher rating you should be fine, all you need it like 10lb more hydraulic shock thingy.

mine need to be changed as well... there is a TSB regarding this - it mentions to have Toyota do it on warranty repair

I came across the tech article earlier this year but cannot find it now to repost it cry
