i don't have 'em yet, but i'm thinking of buying 'em soon. from what i've heard, they are great. dc sports is someway related to AEM, i think they're part of the same company. these are the same headers used on the APC project Celica.

DO NOT BUY THE DC HEADER! They are horrible quality. People have been losing power with them. Ask Lucky.

i've heard about that, too. i don't remember what exactly causes it, but i'm pretty sure there's some way to prevent it

Well, it is very simple. Have you ever heard of AMSS headers for the GTS? Well, if you have then you will know that people lost HP when installing them. The same thing is hapening with the DC header...not as severe...but still bad. You might gain a very little bit of HP but it will be so little you won't even be able to tell. Furthermore, when Lucky was involved in the proto-typing the build quality was good because it was there proto-type header. Now, the build quality is shit.

lucky has even went out to say there is no proof of any stock gts to dc header dynos...pull me a dyno and that will be the proof. doing a butt dyno doesn't mean anything. people complain about lift not kicking in as strong but that can be due to a smoother power curve as a result of the mods. and yes i have heard of the AMSS...and there was a dyno for it. so far. NO ONE has a stock to DC header dyno. Mike (lucky317) has one in his possession right now and will do it once his car is running..LOL rofl

I have them and they are awesome! Build quality is premium! Butt dyno and dyno dyno show really good results. Great mod for the Celica. thumbsup
People are losing power coz they aren't getting a good seal. Make sure you used new gaskets. I used heaps of gasket cement. thumbsup

^^You 3 are lemmings thumbsup

CT is exactly right.

I was the prototype car and I was quite impressed by what I saw as far as build quality and power. NOTHING CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET IN THAT PRICE RANGE IS BETTER grin why? cause nothing is in its price range. I dont feel like typin all this crap out AGAIN.

here's the gist...

1) There is no before/after 3rd party dynos of the final production header.

2) In the 1 hr of driving I had on mine it felt good. my car died shortly after getting the header thanx to the alternator goin dead. (the header install was a coincidence, it did NOT cause my car to die. My batt light came on before the install and now the car s sitting undriveable lol) when my car is back up I did the before dyno the night before the install. so now I just need the after. Build quality STILL looked good from what I saw.

3) TPR plans to make a race header so there wont be ANY comparison of the 2. they wont be the same thing.

4) if you base your opinion based on 1 - 2 peoples butt dyno results yor crazy. If you do you're a lemming.

5) highest hp header PROVEN by 2 diff people with same results is the trial header. gain was 6 hp. however DC's prototype dyno showed a 10.3 hp gain. Has yet to be proven or backed up by an outside dyno.

buy what you want. just dont pass on bad information in an attempt to grow your lemming army. thumbsup

putting on dc headers is like putting on 18" rims on your celica. It'll both make your car go slower.
