Today it finally happened, the last screw holding up my under body plastics fell off. ON THE FREEWAY!!! all the sudden i hear a horrible scraping noise, get off and find that my plastics were draging under my car. it was still attached by the back screws so i tucked it under the lip and drove home. im pissed, i think i need a new front bumper.

You don't need a new front bumper, just go buy some clips from the dealer, or find a way to fasten it up there like I did.

DONT BUY THE CLIPS FROM THE DEALER!!!!!!!

someone bought a box of clips (the same ones for the celica) at wal-mart. it had lots for a great price, unlike the dealers idea of a good deal/steal. thumbsup

the worst was when i just put on my new bodykit, got on the highway and ripped it to like 90, then heard the sound, I thought it was my sideskirts dragging down the road, but it was those damn plastics. I didnt have any zipties so i had to take my shoelace and tie it to the radiator, not fun.

haha! I am experiencing this for the first time. Test fit my blitz bumper sunday, which is lower than the plastics, and had the bolts out. It made the horrible scraping noise. When I got home and put stock bumper on, saw I lost most of the clips. But I thought I had enough still for it to hold. Was in a hurry today coming home from work, hit 110 and bam off they came, or I should say they folded under the car. I completely removed them tonight, I'll fix'em up tomorrow. What a pain in the ass!!

Purchased a box of 15 clips for Ford vehicles from Autoone...they are a little thicker than the OEM Celi clips and fit really snugly in engine holes and wheel dams. No plastics falling out in CT !!

still hasn't happened to me... I think it's still a good idea to carry zip-ties in the glove compartment. They come in handy for a lot of things

Same thing happened to me a while back. It was the plastic that covers the oil filter. So which OEM parts did you guys purchase and for how much? If they fit, I rather go that route instead of the zip ties.

zip ties are handy, but you'll have to keep replacing them, esp. when you change the oil.

Zero - the aftermarket clips for Ford vehicles fit wonderfully. The stems have a plastic feathering down the entire length, so they bend to the size of a smaller hole. They are tremendously secure! I replaced all my OEM clips with these babies and my car is tighter than my wife's sister!!

I will say mine is because of poor body kit install. My brother and I put my kit on, and we felt like putting MOST of the clips on would be good enough... so I bought both wheel-well plastics, and zip-tied the front bumper... the front bumper is still zip-tied.
