The Sportlines will rape the AGXs. The AGXs were only made for 1.5" drop max (stated on their warranty card), and the Sportlines go way below that (1.8" F / 2.4" R). You'll be replacing struts every year or two because of this (depending on how much you drive and the type of roads).

they don't really drop the rear that much, more around two inch or maybe even less. one of the mods here measured the before and after and said it was a two inch drop all around.

Tein H-Tech (.9")
Eibach Pro Kit (1.2")
TRD (1.25")
H&R (1.3")
Tein S-Tech (1.4")
C-One (1.4"; most likely rebadged Tein S-Tech)

Then you only have one option: custom struts. No company makes struts for the Celica that are made specifically for low drops. Koni makes custom struts and is a reputable brand who also makes OEM height struts for the Celica, so you might want to contact them about it.

Any strut will wear pretty evenly, but the adjustable ones will wear faster the stiffer you set them. They'll last around a year or so, depending on how often the car is driven, how hard you drive the car, and what kind of roads you drive on. The less hard bumps and bottoming out there is, the longer they'll last. GTSnut from NewCelica.org went through some Tokico struts in a matter of months with the Sportlines.

The GR-2s are also for stock height. They're the same as the TRD struts. How long did you have the Sportlines on your stock struts before they started to die?

I'm on Sportlines with stock struts right now with about 65,00 miles. Had the springs for about a year and a half. They NEED to be replaced badly. I was looking at GR-2's also.

I let my buddy drive my car and I drove his to see how they look and the rear tires were actually coming off hte ground a bit over bigger bumps!!! That can't be good. thumbsdown
And the ride is very bouncy which makes me nervous sometimes. frown
Getting new struts this week!!
