The whole hatch itself is moving up and down when I go over bumps, and god damn pebbles or dimples in the ground over a millimeter deep. I know that 17's and Sportline springs won't help, but it has always done this, even when the car was stock.
I have everything from the cockpit back gutted. No plastics, carpet, nothing.
So while driving, I just look back at the hatch to see what is making the rattle noise, and the whole hatch itself is moving up and down. And this is even with the extra weight of the TRD
spoiler I put on. I also tightened down the spoiler itself, and the only noise that seems to come forth, is when the hatch moves up and down.
I did the TSB rattle noise solutions, and none of them even address the whole hatch itself moving up and down, just luggage clips, plastics, hatch glass, and the wire harness connector near the 3rd brake light, but I already had that wrapped in some adhesive spongy shit.
Is there any way that I could perhaps tighten the clamping mechanism, you know, the latch that holds the hatch closed? Or is there any other way that I could keep the whole friggin hatch from shaking like Michael J. Fox in an earthquake on a boat?
