I'm going off to college in a year, and will be taking my car shortly there after. Since the ride to the college goes through some back roads in farm country, my mom wants me to have some type of Nav system so that if I ever have a break down, I'll know where I am. I told her that If she wanted me to have it, she'd have to buy it, 'cause I'm not spending my own money on it, and she said okay. I didn't, however, tell her that they can double as a DVD unit as well. So she'll spend 1000 (give or take) for a unit. So i need some suggestions on a flip screen LCD nav/audio/video system, within a reasonable price.

the use I always imagined for the GPS NAV was so I could evade the police with someone reading the GPS screen while riding shotgun and listening to the scanner on the tactical frequency to find out what roads they are going down to try to get me.

I love my scanner. I love my 5% window tint. I love my loud exhaust. I love being a criminal haha. grin

I get my kicks on EC.
