is it possible to modify the 1ZZ engine so it could hit lift?

it could hit a sign with lift written on it...

or it could jump off a ramp

yes, all you need to do is replace it with a GTS engine.


otherwise... you would have to design and get a set of cams made with a second set of lobes, and find some way to hydraulicly get the cam to switch to the second lobes... this would require TONS of money... and an engineering degree...


the only thing that the 1zz and 2zz have in common are the "zz" in the name... its a completely different engine.

I would presume a 2zz head swap would be in order. I'd imagine just like with honda's you can swap on a VTEC head to the stock LS motor to make the much improved "LS-VTEC" engine. I never heard of anyone do it to a celi before though...

oh yes and new computer gadgets to make it work...i'm not sure if the head would fit the 1zz though

What are you guys talking about? It is very possible. Just do this:


Redline your car in any gear and as soon as you get to the redline shift into the lower gear.

I do that to my car all the time and beat GTS's most of the time. Sometimes I wonder why people buy GTS's???

Please limit the noob talk... I hope your joking! GT's dont have lift NO matter what they do! But I suggest not reacing a GTS.. cause your gunna lose!

thats the only thing i like about honda engines, most of them are interchangable.

toyota engine do not. you can only swap a full motor into certain cars.
