Verification of intake butterfly

I read all the instructions on the install, and was still left confused. I took it off, or atleast i think i took it off. If this is the butterfly piece, then i did it correct. So this is the butterfly part correct? And i leave it out of my car?

Yeah, step 4 has you take the entire valve out. That will prevent all restrictions.

Yah, the entire black thing comes out & you plug the vacuum line. Improved the sound of my GT quite a bit: thumbsup
