when the car's in neutral or when i press on the gas, i can hear a pitch sound comming out of the speakers
i got a sound stream amp and a pioneer deck
the pitching sound sounds in coincidence of the engine
anyone has any idea what it could be and how to fix it?

i think you have a bad ground..pick a different grounding place..or you can go to wal-mart and get the Ground noise filter rca..those work too..u just plug ur speacker rca on one end and use the rca that came out of the unit(ground filter thingy) and plug that into ur amp..that happened to me b4..

that can be the case, happend to me before though and i tried everything, it was pulling the noise from the altinator, because when i disconnected the altinator the noise went away, so i troubbleshooted everything, finally took the deck back and got another, it worked fine after that.

How are your wires run?? If your RCA and Power wires are run next to eachother than the high piched sound can occur when accelerating. That's why my RCA's always go down one side of the car, and the Power wire goes down the other.

I would bet you have an alternator that is creating interference. However, short of replacing it you could attempt to compensate for it.

I would start by replacing my RCA cables from the deck to the amp with twisted pair type, buying a noise resistor for the deck and running an extra couple of ground wires from the negative to the frame & motor.

Are you running a single positive wire to the amp & then grounding the negative well at the trunk?
