Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior bad transmission?

Anyone out there have a bad tranny? Just seeing if anyone has similar problems as I do. My '00 celica gts is at the dealership right now having its tranny rebuilt. the tech said some gears were chewed up. I don't have a clue why this is , it's not like I grind the gears. Holla if you have a bad tranny. My car has 46K.

well of course the gears would be chewed up if you constantly grinded them. maybe the previous owner did that?

other than that, i dont know why they'd be chewed up.

no bad tranny for me...but I have seen some that do.
