Just wondering what you guys think is better the carchip or the scanner from scantools.net???

well im looking into the carchip but i was seeing if anybody has either of these?

Why would you want a Carchip when the mechanic can scan the car and diagnose problems for you? I don't understand.

well i can check for problems without paying for a mechanic to do it
