the install is pretty simple. just don't use a hack saw like i tried doing to cut the pipe. i jacked it all up. so then i decided to take it to a nearby muffler shop and asked them to cut it for me w/ a power tool and they took like 2 secs and split the pipe for me for free. so that was cool of them. but you want to make sure that you cut out the piece marked by the paper template taht comes w/ the bypass valve, other wise the pipe will not fit right. n e ways it's very simple and probably the best thing you can do to protect ur engine from water ingestion and i also put the injen splash guard around my filter. so hopefully that's gonna help too. good luck w/ every thing and here's one more pic.

looking good, but our intakes have too many bends in it for a bypass valve to by usefull, people have hydrolocked with them on.

if those people wanted to drive through lakes, they should have bought an SUV... the celica is an economy sports car, not an SUV

BTW - how would you explain all of the euro racing that happens during the wettest of seasons - im sure you've seen these GT racers skidding around at 80 - 120mph for hours on end during their many races through horable thick rain weather and fog so strong, you could drink it stright

...im sure aem just doesn't make up things without testing them in real work situations first - aem has been around for many years now

right i agree w/ the statement that aem wouldn't make somehting and market it w/o testing it inreal world situations. but you also have to remember that aem claims that this bypass valve will VIRTUALLY eliminate any chances of hydrolocking, however nowhere does it say that it will for sure 100% safeguard hydrolocking. so as i've always heard better be safe than sorry. if god forbids my engine still hydrolocks w/ the aem bypass valve i'm personally gonna take legal action over this, lol!
