Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Honda vs. Toyota

I didn't really know where to put this, but I figured the tuners were all here.

Anyways, I hope this doesn't turn into a mudslinging fest. How well do Hondas respond to strap-on mods as opposed to toyotas?? And some more serious mods, as opposed to toyotas?? This one guy I know is pretty serious about his Honda, and it's got a shitload of stuff in it.

yeah honda engines get a new life with new mods

their engines love to get mods and perform better with the right ones. it's because the engines and ecu's aren't as complext as toyota

^^^^ yup...they do respond better...overall...but then again, they have a world ahead of toyota as far as aftermarket support and research...toyota is harder to work on...plain and simple...except for the 3sgte MR2 and the supras...they are different...they respond amazingly to bolt-ons

just like azzkikr says, as far as direct bolt ons honda has a lot more suppourt. Toyota is def. harder to find parts for because of the ecu. But personally I find that it's a lot harder to make all the aftermarket honda mods work together perfectly without some tuner experience, as in just bolting all the shit on. Personally I prefer the VVTLi to the VTEC even though the technologies are very similar.
