Spring/Shock Question

I'm sure this is a re-post to the max...but i want to see what it looks like before i spend 300 bucks on springs. what is the best kind of springs/shock combo for a celica with a TRD body kit and 17s? i want to drop it as low as i can. i was thinkin bout buyin the tein S-tech springs and keeping my stock shocks...but i still want to see what other people have and how it looks. so, in other words...please post any pics of your car thats lowered with 17s. also, the brand name of the springs and shocks would be very helpful. thanks!

dropping it as "low as you can" could mean different things. lowering your car at all with just springs will over time compromise your shocks and can cause uneven wear on your tires. how much depends on how low you go. i'm planning on picking up the TRD spring/shock combo. i think it's only a 1"-1.2" drop but it will suit my needs and the upgraded shocks will last a lifetime.

just save up a little more and get new struts that will handle the lower springs thumbsup.

thanks...but i still wanted pics of people's rides that are lowered...im most likely gettin the tein s-tech springs with a new set of struts...but i dont know what kind of struts ride the best. i want to drop it to the tire, and i dont want to get coilovers...so im basically seeing how much of a drop i need to fill that gap between the tire and fender. im thinkin around 2inches...any suggestions?

i agree. or if you have the money go with koni yellows. the tein drop is pretty conservative and they are guaranteed not to sag, so you should be good.
