I know that you are supposed to flush the system whenever you add new coolant, but I never do, and probably need to.

I read the instructions under the hood, and it looked like it would take a while, but it probably wouldn't.

Hopefully I can get it done with an oil change this weekend, and if the topic is still active, I'll let you know then.

^^ will take you awhile to get all the air out.

Just top it off.

to flush the coolant out, just open the valve on the radiotor and allow the coolant to start draining, turn on the car and put a waterhose into the radiator "over fill tank" and let the car run until all the antifreeze stops comming out of the radiator and it is just pure water,(make sure there is always extra water in the container) then allow the tank to almost go empty and then close the vavle about to half of what it was before, and start pouring the anitfreeze into the eninge once your start to get antifreeze comming out of your radiotr then close the valve and fill the tank to the max line of 3/4 water and 1/4 antifreeze. and your done!! no air bubbles in the eninge, but you will waste alittle bit of antifreeze. THis has always worked for me and i dont have any problems.

Yah, there is no plug that I am aware of.

1) I would take the bottom rad hose off & the bottom hose off the overflow bottle. Use a collector for the old antifreeze. Turn on the heater & fire up the engine COLD. Run for it for about a minute & shut it down.

2) Next, replace the the hoses & refill with straight water, run the engine while refilling the bottle for a few minutes. Leave the heater on.

3) Repeat step 1, replace the hoses & now fill with correct antifreeze mixuture. Keep the engine idling with the heater on & keep adding to the bottle until the engine works all the air bubbles out.

Now you will have clean antifreeze. If you want to get real fancy, on the last step use distilled water, its better for your cooling system. thumbsup

i did it.. kinda like Lyth0s' method. wasted some anti freeze but it worked out in the end. no air bubbles on my first try. i would just recommend taking it to the dealer or a shop. thumbsup
