I want to start installing a better sterio, but I'm told there's a factory amp that needs bypassing, or a complete re-wire is needed, please tell me how to bypass, or lie to me and tell me I don't have to spend $200 on a complete rewire...

If you're serious about your audio system...then yes bypass them. I didn't 1.)have the balls and 2.)have the money to get it done professionally and 3.)am not the serious audio enthusiast to want to do so in the first place

If you don't want to bypass it...you can buy an amp interface for $20 that lets you wire ur aftermarket head unit to ur stock system..that is if you want to keep it stock.

Oh and if you just want it to sound better...a good head unit does really transform the sound. Again it all depends on how good you want it to sound...how loud...and how much loot you got lying around.

i did all the rewiring myself. Just need to buy some speaker cables and follow the instructions on the guide. Not too hard took me a few hours but it was worth it.
