Also what's the procedure of cleaning it. do you just wash it with water and let it dry? or do you have to use something specific to clean it? thnx for ur help!!

it should have said on the package how often to clean it and given specific directions for doing so. Also, it is not disposable - don't throw it out! thumbsup

Get a K&N or AEM filter cleaning kit, the directions in the kit will answer all your questions.

If the filter is K&N, then it is every 50K. But, you can clean it as often as you like.

Yes, I would. I have the first gen. Injen CAI. It has a K&N filter. My car now has 86K. The first time I clean it was at 64K. This past weekend, i had the bumper off to change the AC condensor. So, I cleaned it again. idunno

if you just buy the kit (from any auto parts store) for like $10-15, it has full instructions and includes everything you need. K&N makes a good cleaner kit

so would you say that cleaning the filter every 25k miles be sufficient, enough? or even more often?

yes that's not bad ... just check it every 5000 miles or so and see how dirty it appears to be and go from there
