do i need to have a camber kit in order to correctly align my tires or can it be done without one? my two rear tires have negative camber (bent inwards) and i am going to get an alignment this weekend to fix it but i wanna know if i need a camber kit. if i do, which do you guys suggest. and how much does alignment on a lowered car run? i have paid like 70 bucks for front and back at pepboys before, but does it cost the same no matter how bad your alignment is?

dood, no matter how much they try they will never get your alignment back to stock specs once you have lowered your car... if you let go of your steering wheel and you still somewhat drive in a straight line, then dont bother... I lowered mine with the same springs and I have not noticed a difference in my alignment... thumbsup

you need to get an alignment...

the alignment wont just fix if your car is going strait... it also adjusts toe, and if your toe is messed up your tire treadlife is gonna go to shit.

I just got my alignment on my car with sportlines.

It still kinda pulls one way a little if i let go of the wheel but i dont notice it when i drive.

It really fixed the cambers on my wheels though. The tops of the back wheels were waaaay in and the bottom was waaay out.

Handles like a champ! thumbsup

once the car is lowered, the rear cambers cannot be adjusted back to stock specification. two Performance shops told me this at least once.

true, you can't get it back to stock specs. stock has the wheel nearly perfectly straight up and down, however, you can get it back to within a tolerable range that will significantly increase the longevity of your tires. if you don't mind throwing out about a grand a year in tires, then don't get it aligned. but it's definately worth the money if you're a broke college student like me, cheaper to maintain than replace thumbsup.

so do you need the camber kit for the alignment? i understand that you will never get it back to stock, but even just to adjust them back to tolerable range, do you need a camber kit. and if you do an alignment without the camber kit and get it back to tolerable settings, will i get worse quicker w/ out the camber kit? and how much did you guys pay for the alignment?...i am asking all these questions because rear tires are pretty bad. / \ <---thats what they look like..obviously not that bad..but you guys get the point. and it just only settled in like 3 weeks ago, ive just been lazy about it thumbsup

My tires would sit almost perfectly vertical and my toe is how I wanted it in the back. I got the alignment specs I wanted on a lowered car. I'm sure they would have gone to Toyota's specs which leaves a clearance for the alignment. Plus or minus this and that. My alignment isn't corner weighted and balanced nor perfect, but better than a 30,000 mile old Celica or new for that matter. Damn straight there. Everybody must be going to the wrong places. Spend a little and get alot. Just make sure everything is set on you're car like it's going to be for a while. Change something on the suspension like springs and get another alignment and spend the money again. I also have adjustable camber links, camber plates (coilovers), and end links, so it's easier to dial it in.

You should get your alignment done. I lowered my car and I've noticed when I'm going above 80 mph, the steering wheel feels a little "shaky". I don't think this happens to everyone, but this is just one thing that has happen to me when I put in my Eibach Pro-kit springs.
