I have a wierd situation. Basically, I have a squeaking sound that sounds like its coming from the engines drivers side.. but the thing is when i press on the clutch the sound is gone. But when i release the clutch the sound starts up again. Does something need lubing? or is something loose? any suggestions?
Sup bro! Did you ever modify the clutch how loud is the sound from 1-10 being 1 not too bad and 10 pretty damm loud? Might be something with the pressure plate and the clutch. Is the clutch still good? Check the clutch bro if the sound is consitant and never stops and keeps squeeking before it gets worse!

Eh? Is that the area where you would remove the shift knob..? I ask this because when I shift into second (be it up or down) it squeaks, which is bothersome for a car that's only a year and a half old.

It's in the engine bay area right just below the Intake. Look for a goldish looking thing (where my finger is pointing) it looks like a hammer. It's around the transmission area. Have someone move the shifter while you look down their if you can't find it. You'll see it moving that's where most common shift squeeks come from. Spray it up with wd-40 if it's rusty & lube it up to get rid of the noise
