Has anyone got a scion tc

I couldn't believe it when i found out it has 30 more lbs of torque than my gts, and nearly the same 0 to 60 times. I could never trade in my celica, but c'mon , now you can get a scion with a supercharger pushing it to like 240hp and nothing for the celica...bullshit...I talked my girlfriend into getting one just so I could fuck with it, so much potential. They're a good deal, and I'm tepted to get one but the styling just can't touch the celica although the Performance has the potential to crush my gts. Someone make me feel good about my gts, by the way, why would a scion way 400 lbs more than a celica?

With a supercharger, horsepower will = 200HP (http://www.scionlife.com/tc/). With mods, probably 250HP. Thats dam good for a 4 cyl. But there is no car compare to a Celi!

I think the Corolla XRS beats the TC. But then again, I like the celica over them both.

The Performance numbers on paper look close but in real world theres a big difference. The TC's 2.4 Camry engine only comes with VVT-i vs the Celica's VVTL-i. The supercharger for the TC is a nice add on, but if you can afford a dealer to install that then you can get the Celica a Turbocharger kit and give it 250-270 whp.
The TC's handling isn't that bad compared with the celica but just test driving it you really notice the lack of power at high rpm where theres no lift, its like changing between from a Turbo car to n/a car.

Would a t/c instead of a s/c in the scion be better?

Also, how much $$$ does s/c'ed scion cost?

cool

Well, the TC is a heavy tub, basically a cheap Solara. The supercharger option is nice, and probably necessary if you want it to be fast (Turbo would be preferred). It ain't a Celica, and the reason I bought my GTS is that I went to a dealer and found out the Celica was being discontinued. I took one look at the TC (the "supposed" replacement for a Celi) and decided on the spot I was probably going to get a Celica. Within a week I had my '04 GTS.

Won't deny the TC is an OK car, but I'll never own one. Of the Scions, I like the xA best. Still, have fun playing.

300,000 KM/Sec. Its not just a good idea, its the law.
