i have a b&m and i couldn't be happier (pics in my profile). however, i've also heard great things about twm thumbsup

i personally wouldn't buy the trd quick shifter..it's not much shorter than stock and the throws aren't much different.

TWM is cheaper than B&M, because it doesn't include a knob.

However, the TWM is the shortest looking, yet doesn't have the shortest throws and is therefore stiffer and harder.

I personally liked the difficult shifting.

^^the b&m knob is easily worth $40-$50, just in case anyone was wondering.

i'm currently tryign to get my hands on either another b&m shifter or the twm shifter...i want to cut it's shaft even further down to make it lower..but i don't feel like potentially ruining my current b&m shifter in case something goes wrong or if i have problems shifting spineyes

TRD!!!!!!!!!!! Makes value of your car go up because is TRD. Runs about $120. Cant remember the website. That's my next upgrade.

^^ aftermarket parts rarely ever make the value of your car go up. and if they do, it is only a fraction of what you actually paid for it. you can always do better parting out your car when you are ready to sell it.

the only products that actually hold a fair amount of their value for a car (while still installed while the car is being sold) are wheels and soud systems. this is because there is a fair amount of demand for these products.

most aftermarket parts actually decrease demand for a car...the more modded you go the less of a market you can sell it to--because you are selling to a tuner market, which is much smaller than the stock market. most people do not want a 'hooked up car' contrary to many people's beliefs.

that said, your trd shortshifter is $120 (as you say). when you sell your car do you think you can even get $10 more of an asking price having this installed? i would say 'no'.

but if you part out when selling your car, you can sell ur trd quickshifter for about $70 (fair), put your stock shifter back in and your car's price will remain the same. thumbsup

Has anybody tried the cheap ebay special? I bought one here (or the other site)from speednstylez. I thought the free knob was cheap, but I like the short shifter. Of course, I haven't tried the more expensive ones. Has anyone else tried it then bought another? If so - how do they compare? I'm not sure I like the hard shift with the new bushings, but I'm guessing that is the case anytime you get rid of the rubber grommets.

how much of a pain in the arse is it to install the b&m? it looks like a b!tch, unlike the TRD where the whole assembly gets swaped out [/color]
