that will not be harmful to my knowledge... it's a filter for an unused segment of hose and found on the TPR Intake if I'm not mistaken

That's what called a crankcase breather filter. Everyone knows a car engine is an amazing piece of machinery but it isn't perfect. As an engine runs, gas build up in side the block due to the combustion process. Usually these gases are recycled back into the engine through one of the many hoses on a car engine. What that filter does is allow those gases to escape and fresh air be brought back into the block. They are most commonly seen accompanied with CAI Intakes. I was very surprised to find out the AEM and Injen didn't use them in their CAI design. I had a CAI on my old Saturn and I had to use a crankcase breather. They are not harmful, if anything they help the engine but it is only in a minute fashion. Hope that helps thumbsup

yeah its a breather filter...

instead of having that on your AEM or Injen CAI, that hose plugs into the Intake and just gets spat back in.

it goes on the tube that you hook up to ur injen/aem Intake..on the Intake you see there are one stick out hole, so you plug that tube into that, well instead of pluging it on the Intake you just put the breather on it..Look at the pic, follow that red hose, that hose should be connected to the car, and then there a black circular thing connected to that hose and out the other end is ur breather..

you can install them on a stock car if you want lol

On the AEM Intake they use a small tube welded to the cai and the hose recycles into there.

For TPR they decided to make a solid tube and use the breather instead.

It wont hurt your motor thumbsup

I heard that the tpr Intakes that easy_c is making now won't use a breather filter because they are hard to come by.

I could be wrong though.
