I got an APC Altezza tail light and i want to paint the housing (i think thats what its called) black to match my car. Are there any guides or suggested paints to match the color well? i would GREATLY appreciate it

not sure if you can take it apart confused i tried taking apart my stock tail lamps for a led retrofit.. even baking them and still coudlnt get them apart.. confused

why don't you get some bat overlays happywink

no, they are not stock, they are APC and chrome, not stock

You can take them apart i've done it. Same way are baking the headlights except for the tail lights you have a to be a little more careful. If you overbake you will melt the lense. Look up the procedure here on Ec.com on how to take apart the headlights it is exactly the same way. thumbsup

Do the APCs come apart? I know I've seen instructions several times on taking the TYCs apart and painting them. I assumed the APCs couldn't be disassembled.

ok, i took it out and i see a bunch of screw around the border, THEY ARE VERY SMALL, i cant get them out, they are sticking to something or something like that. I am afraid to bake it...

i took mine apart, though now i need a heat gun. i sort of bent the plastic a bit, laughsilly

i, too, am gonna paint mine black. just for fun. spineyes

I actually tried that once (heating it in the oven) and ended up buying a new set because the lense melted angry
