eish another thread on this topic...

s/f is the only proven kit to ever make power, hes got dyno's and 1/4 mile times of his two kits available for the gts and the gt celica.

his quality controll has significantly increased, and lately there have been some big waves in the way he does business. knowing the guy personally, hes done more for his customers than others really know. Hes not the kinda guy to go and blab all over the net hey i helped out so and so with this and hey I covered the cost of your screw up, ect. hes just a humble down to earth guy who makes awesome Turbo kits, and so far has been willing to try to Turbo just about anything.

my.02 about s/f.

May not come busted.. He may have inproved his quality. Thats just what I've read on New Celica.org. IM not saying that the guy is bad its just that i've heard some bad things about the kit and how it has been shipped but than i've also heard great things about him.. It depends who you read it from and where you read it from

Just from I've heard most of the kits that people have receive have had some missing parts with the origanal shipment (but he did get those parts to them on other shipments) and somtimes the products were broken but he did replace them from what i've read. Im just saying in the first shipment of the kit there have been some problems. He may have inproved them.. And I give him mad props if he did! Over-all though all kits have there problems.. I wouldn't go with DA though. I've only heard bad things. I just would recommend C2Gas's Kit! Great Price and good kit!

It has been dyno'd I belive to. A Stage 2 kit with pistons and rods was dyno'd at 260whp+ not for-sureon the numbers but C2 Family would know.

so it's between SF and C2 then huh? well...let's see some dyno. As far as SF goes, all I heard about was the long delay with their shipping. C2 Turbo kits are being shipped from europe and I haven't heard and bad feedback from those kits so far. But hey... if you wanna wait, it's totally up to you. If you wanna pay more in shipping and can't wait to get your kit then go to C2. As for me, I ll wait for some dyno results to see who has the better more power...

DA is a joke and 3/4 if you ask me. smile

I would say S/F & c2gas are the ONLY viable kits right now.

Personally I like the S/F kits cause for 1) I've been to the shop seen the cars he has and I know what kinda potential his kits have 1st hand. Seen em on the dyno AND at the track. Just because he releases baseline #'s doesnt mean that kit is maxed out.

2) I've seen the kits put through some serious workouts and have no problems. (big concern for me cause I beat on my car lol)

3) I like how its easy to upgrade and add things like the alchohol injection and stuff.

If I were lookin for a Turbo these are the kinda things I'd be looking for.

One problem I see with the c2gas kits is the stages. It seems to me like stage 1 is barely hittin 200 - 220 whp unless i'm mistaken? seems to me like you'd pay more for his kits to be at a good potential?

Yes, im too lazy to search so I dunno.

I totally agree with you lucky! But from what i've heard, there kits come with the LOWest setting get to get started just because they don't want people blwoing there engines when they get a 250whp Turbo.. with that power your gunna need pistons and rods and upgraded stuff yeah know.. Its pretty much just a starter kit getting people started!

Shipping. I'll I know is that there Shipping IS CHEAP! I got quote for 280 Shipping! Thats pretty good considering the size and weight of the kit! and from Europe to my door step.. DAMN!

uh it's no tthe hp thats the problem lol

XS engineering doesnt give anyone internals and they push 240 hp.

250 hp is easily done safely on the gts IMO. it's goin to 300+ you gotta upgrade the internals.

So, coming from a company trying to make money its wise to sell a low powered st1 and a st2 kit for way more claiming a much much higher hp number. when in reality you're gonna spend that much more to ge tthe internals installed lol

ANY Turbo kit on the gts done correctly with proper internals is gonna put down a LOT more power then a base kit on stock internals.

I dont blame them though cause they gotta make their $$$ thumbsup it's just a marketing trick is all smile who wants a Turbo kit that puts down 240 - 250 when you can have a st2 kit thats capable of 300+ ? well if you stop and think that the st2 kit is gonna cost you 3x more lol how much is it worth it?

BTW I cahecked up what the stages are and basically all st2 does is give you upgraded internals. so you'll need to factor in a nice chunk of change for the install of those smile

just thought I'd point that out.

also they dont have prices listed so I dunno what their kits sell for.

SF thumbsup I'm prejudiced because i have the kit and its absolutely amazing with no problems whatsoever. Ive taken several people for rides on this site and they can vouge for the power.

the SF kit doesnt work in stages wink

Theres the GT kit and the GTS kit.

now you can add stuff to make more power but he doesnt call it stages. Staffords more into Performance then bling bling thumbsup

Right now he's go tthe SF GT kit, upgraded clutch and light flywheel. His car is about as fast as mine thumbsup

upgrades you can do is building up your motor and upgrading your internals (what c2 calls their st2) which allows you to push the kit much harder and make a lot more power. You can also add things like alcohol injection to make more power.

We should consider GT and GTS kits. GT kit is the one wich makes 190whp and Gts is around 250whp. The st2 kits are basically the same but with the internals and bigger IC. St2 additional parts mainly offered for EU costumers as the parts are comming from the States and I never say to buy internals from us for any US costumer (should get it straight).
Both kits are build to mathc the 50% power groth. They can easily do it and more. But considering the stock internals, costumer should not go over 50% power gain. The kits can produce more as I allready stated as they are used for st2 kits as well, but higher Boost.
So I dont get why would our kit be a trick... confused

There are no serious power differences on any kit on the market. There are differences on how it creates the power. Like early start or high rpm goals. Also HP does not mean a lot, but with torque it does. If I want to trick I would make our dyno emedietly, and tune the car for the best output to show an amazing power, but it would not be reliable on the streets. I m ready to have a dyno challange on the same dyno with other kits with Turbo kits and nothing else. That would be a compare.
But one thing is sure. We have st1,st2 kits in Eu and US as well. Is there any company who has the same?
I also stated it before, that the German High ways are non speedlimitedm ( also other citizens in other contries driving far faster then 65mph), and they do use it like that. I would love to see any other kit on that wear.
I`m not aginst any other kit or fans, just wrote my personal opinion. thumbsup

I'm running the stock 6 psi right now and its only street tuned. I have to install my boost controller and then i will run 6 psi for daily driving and with the alcohol injection im gonna run a high boost of 10 psi. Once i can get on a dyno i will be able to fine tune and also get some power numbers. Just guessing probably around 200-210 whp right now.

not if its properly tuned. Personally, if i got a kit whether it be xs, or staford(no c2gas0 i would take my car and have them do all the work right there since its their kit. They could do all the tuning until they got it to work perfect. I'm sure xs kit works great when its been properly tuned to each specific vehicle. I would let them do it for me. Cost more but its safer.

check the "other" site for gruesome pictures of what happens with certain XS kits.

also if they have problems with tuning they will tell you there is something wrong with YOUR car and detune it until everything works ok. last person I saw that admitted this happening went from their standard 240 hp down to 220. they could care less what kinda power output you get no matter how much you pay. They have name recognition now so they will sell kits based on that alone. whether you like it or not is of no concern.

also FYI there are people pushing 7+ months of waiting for XS to release their kit. thumbsup

they are and they arent. they hae a generic tuniong premad eand if it dont work they detune it until it does. It's not wrong it's just not cool. cause if they took a lil more time they could get the power back safely in most cases.
