Can I replace my damaged TRD exhaust tip?
Ok, so I was rear ended in an accident. The pipe coming from the cannister of my TRD exhaust was bent out of shape and the tip has been all messed up. I have been given $600 to purchase an entire new exhaust system. I was wondering, since the rest of the exhaust system is in perfect condition, could I just replace the piping and get a new TRD exhaust tip? I have seen a picture somewhere here on the site of someone holding just the tip to the exhaust system. Anyone know anything?

The exhaust is two pieces. If I could get the second, smaller piece (the one with the tip), that would be perfect!

On a side note, which TRD exhaust system would be better for a Kaminari rear end, Standard length or Extended length? Anyone have pictures of these two different set ups?

First off, they do not sell that rear pipe seperately. If that is damaged, then you may want to purchase the whole exhaust. Or you can get one customized for you from a body shop. Shouldn't be too costly.

They you can just buy a new tip and have it welded onto your new pipe.

As for what exhaust would look better on that certain rear, do you want to see the exhaust or not?

Both the standard and extended will work on any kit setup, but the extended will allow the exhaust to stick out a little more, thereby showing it off a little.

I currently have the extended version with the stock bumper. Looks good to me.

Anyways, it sounds like you were rear-ended, thereby, isn't the other person's insurance picking up the cost? If so, then just have them buy the whole exhaust system.

same thing happened to me. i got a scion tC TRD exhaust tip on there, and it looks good as new. i contacted TRD to see if they sold the exhaust parts separately, but of course they dont. i suggest you check ebay from time to time, since TRD exhaust tips come up. it will only cost you around 20 dollars to get it welded onto ur exhaust.if you dont want to wait you can just get any kind of tip, but i wanted the TRD logo
