you have to just screw that little screw REALLY tight against the shifter. Sucks, because it'll start to spin in a couple months and leave marks and stuff. After market non thread knobs =

After market non thread knobs = I agree...I want a new shift knob, but it has to be the kind that screws on completely ... none of this set screw thing.

yep that's why i am buying a TRD knob to screw on...but anyway, that knob goes on the same was as a Momo. It should have a rubber fitting thought that would be placed over top on the top of the shift rod. Then the shift knob shouold fit over that so it stays on...no wiggling. THe small screw is to hold it like a Momo...it just screws and holds itself on the shift rod...my momo comes loose sometimes but it is pretty tight...you can't be that aggressive with it.

All you really need is the rubber fitting to make it work...maybe you can find one at a shop somewhere that sells shift knobs?

My Isotta has a thread ring (thats held on with 3 of those little screws) that you put on your shift first then the knob screws onto it. Has never come loose!
