Installing Springs

Is it possible to install springs at home? I've heard that you need to take it to some shop and have a professional install it because of some tools that are needed to install it. Is it smarter to have someone at a shop do it over you doing it yourself?

Does any one know how to do it, like what is the correct way in installing springs. I haven't done anything to my car dealing with suspension. And I would like to install them myself so I can learn from it. So can anyone help me with installation.
