I have a heavy sub box & amp in the trunk along with my full size spare. I ruined one set of rear tires because they developed flat spots on the inside. When you look at my car from behind, the wheels lean inwards. How do you correct this problem?

They will fix that with an alignment.

It's your camber that is f'ed up.

My car looked like that after I lowered it.

They charged me more than a regular alignment because they said that it was a "special alignment." rolleyes

^^^ That's right get an alignment with everything that is going to present day to day in your car like the sub box. That will fix your problem. Just make sure you get a print out of the before and after alignment specs, just to make sure they did the job correctly. If they can't do that look for another place.

You can, but you really need a special machine to do the measurements, or else there is no way that you could straighten it out yourself by eye balling it.


Just get the alignment, and with some places, you can pay a little extra and it will be guaranteed for years.

haa...they charged me more as well.

and they said to me that the rear cambers cannot be corrected back to stock specification once the car is lowered. any lowered car has rear tires like / \...

i figured it was some kinda bullshit, but the shop is a reputable shop and has lowered many cars, it has been on magazines a few times...so i dont know they lied to me or they were just lazy to do it.

My tires are definately straight after my alignment. I even have a print-out of the before and after camber readings, so if I can find it, I will scan it and post it here.

Then you can just print it out, show it to them, and tell them to get to work. laughsilly


Oh, and by the way. I didn't even buy a camber kit.
