Hey guys. I was looking into purchasing a eclipse AVN2454 for my gts. Retail for this fricking thing is over 2 grand. I luckily found someone online who is selling his for $800 w/ free shipping. I get a little sceptic when I see a $2000 dollar system for $800. The item is brand new as well. Let me know what you think guys. Here's a pic.

Thanx for your input fellas. The only concern I have now if it's made for the US. I heard they have that same model for Europe as well. This in turn can have some downsides. Perhaps DVD regions & Navigation might not work correctly here in the U.S. I'm going to email the seller and ask him tommorow. Thanx again guys.

sorry, i should have clarified that. That pic i've included earlier is from some girl on this site who has it on her celica. That's how that thing looks like if were to be installed in my car, professionally of course. The seller is from Europe and the two reasons he's selling was because it's the U.S model and not the European model that he needs. The other reason was because his new car doesn't have a have a double BIN opening in his car. My opinion, It's probably stolen. Who knows? Anyways, im gonna go for it and hope for the best. Thanx again fellas.

has anybody heard of www.shippersworldwide.com [shippersworldwide.com]? It's some kind of paypal but used in europe. This is the way I'm going to pay this guy. Supposedly it's safe. This is way the way it works:

1. I pay shippersworldwide
2. They contact seller for verification
3. SEller ships me item
4. Upon recieving item, I have several days to analyze the product to see if it meets my requirements.
5. I give the ok to shippersworldwide to release payment to seller.

====--any feedback will be appreciated======

well I guess if you want to pay the big bucks to call to see if the shippers are legit here you go

call Shippers World Wide at +44 7979-4141-07

but I went to their site and usally a site that is taking money online will have some form of a security certificate like from verisign or some other high encryption SSL... I don't see them mentioning this at all. Maybe they don't take money through their web page... but that would seem kind of dumb...

if you are having doubt, dont go for it.

my friend just gave $1700 to a guy from Oregon to buy a bike. $1700 is just half of the money my friend has to pay for that bike. anyway, the guy cashed the check the next day he received it, and no news since then.

this sounds like the old ill sell you a car for 8000 thats worth 50000. Then you wire the money and theres no car. The scam is always from a seller in europe selling to an american. its classic. Stay away. I think there have been several threads about it on this board
