As many of you know I used to have the H6 i believe headlight overlays. i just recently got rid of em and added the smoked out overlay kit, i think it matches 100x better with my blue/black color scheme that im going for.
so wut do you guys think?

Hey Omar, if you were to look really close with your naked eye at them, could you see where the seams are (where one vinyl meets another)?

Slidr(sorry bro dont know ur name), take a look at pic#4, you see the side of the headlight(The side that is near the bumper), well on that side if you looked real real close you can see where the vinyls meet up, its becuz that part of the overlay kit requires some overlapping, to reduce the amount of air bubbles that you get. Today my friend came over and looked at them, he was real surprised wen i told him that it was a 6 piece set, he thought i bought some kinda JDM lamps and that it was one single piece. do it right and ull be fine. thumbsup

Cool, thanks. BTW, my name is Mark, but I'm sure no one cares. frown

Anyways, when I installed my 3rd brake light vinyl cover, I wasn't sure if I should overlap, or have them meet as closely as possible, so I decided to make them overlap ever so slightly.

Should I worry about them ever peeling where they overlap?>

Yeah, you gotta use a hairdryer for that part. I haven't done the bubble part yet on mine.

I tried installing my overlays Monday and I fucked up the left one. Gotta talk to Andy about getting another one. Sorry, hijacking this thread.

You have to stretch it when applying it. The hairdryer softens it up. PM Bat for more tips.

No dont worry about them peeling off, mine also meet very slightly on the 3rd brakelight, been thru sum real bad weather n are still holding up. thumbsup
About the kit for the ppl who were asking: its either get a vizage lip kit if i can find a good deal on one or not get one at all, i plan on getting rid of this auto GT thumbsdown for a 6-spd hopefully around next summer, or w/e i can pay enuff off of the car. thumbsup so thats why i might not get a kit, because it wont be on for a long enuff time.

Arite here is an extremely helpful hint to the members having problems with the "bubble" part of the overlay. You know how it comes in one piece? well this is what you should do, get a razor/scissor and cut down the middle of the vinyl in a straight line as possible. its better to get a pencil n a ruler to draw the line on the back first, then TAKE YOUR TIME to cut it nicely n gently, then apply the overlay as two different pieces, and you will notice A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!! thumbsup That is what i did with mine and you can not even tell i cut it down the middle. thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup
