i dont know how to convert it to .midi but if you want to convert mp3s or copied songs from a c.d. you can get windows media encoder and its pretty straight forward from there

you can't take a cd and make it a midi file
midi files are just low quality melody songs with just electric sounds.

Microsoft WMA format, Apple QuickTime MOV format, RealMeadia's RAM file formats are popular formats...

but here are directions for MIDI...

Simply insert the below into the
section of your page. Be sure to configure the URL to the music file inside the script:

Code

Go with flash
you should be able to find free ones at
http://www.flashkit.com
I would use mp3
midi usually have bad quality
wav are just big compared to mp3 ( only use for loop back )
and mp3..the best of both world

if you can't find exactly what you need then msg me
could make one on my spare time

ps : make calculation on how mutch b/w it would take per month
