anyone think of using the hood scoop for a ram air into the Intake? has anyone done it? I would think that would increase horsepower if possible. There's got to be some way to make something that brings the air from the scoop directly to the Intake.

you could create a custom cowl but imo it's more hassle than it's worth...

it's probably easier just to cut a hole on your hood by the throttle body. then agian, it probably won't look that great. i would be more concern about water though...

I actually wanted to do this to my car after I sold my SS and got the Celica, but I figured out that there is not enough clearance between the hood and the engine to route any type of duct or tubing up there.

So no, it can't be done without serious modification of the engine bay/hood.

plus, if it's hot where you live, you're gonna want the hoodscop blowing air onto your engine to try and keep it cool.

I've thought about it too though smile
