Painting the Engine Plastics...

Hey guys, im getting ready to paint my engine plastics and have a few questions... I bought a can of Krylon Fusion and was wondering, other than washing the plastics, if there is anything that needs to be done before or after applying the paint... like will it need a clear acrylic afterwards or will it be fine w/o it?

a clear coat on top would makeit shiny and look better imo...
and with that fusion paint, i don't think primer is necessary, so you may be good to go.
