GROUND for sound system

What is a good ground location in the hatch area of the Celica?
I will be installing a sound system. I need a good ground because I might even add an extra battery.
I have a 2002 Celica.
Any info will help. Thanks.

You can drill or anywhere on the chasis in the trunk. Search for the grounding locations in the forum I know theirs a sheet that shows you all the current ground locations and where you can use some for the best ground.

Anyway I used the black Cargo net bolt clamp area with a spade connector. Took the clamp off used the bolt and put the spade below it. Tightened it down and your done.

The hole is ready for grounding and you'll have two locations to ground to. You can also use the back panel with the other two cargo next clamps they also have the same black clamps. Then you'll have 4 ground locations. Or just get a distribution block if you decide you need expand your system with more grounds.

The Cargo net bolt didn't work for me. I tried that one. I will try and look for the sheet with all the grounds on it. Thanks.

all my stuff is gounded on the bar that stretches under the plastics on the floor behind the seats. if you pull that little plastic tray up, you will see a black bar that is raised off the floor, i think it covers the rear shocks, ground everything to it. i have like 9 things grounded to it including stereo thumbsup

Yep, cargo net eye's, sand off the paint on the bottom of the eye & clamp it down with a steel washed below. thumbsup

Make sure you run an extra ground from the negative on the battery to the frame. The ground wire on the celi is pathetic.

Your ground wire should be as short as possible & use a capacitor. (1 fahrad minimum per 500watts)
