I painted my calipers a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't get any silver paint for the part around the lugs (see pic). Would that need to be high temp paint, or should I use Rust-Oleum since they have a lot of rust on them? Thanks-

Yes you will have to use high-temp paint on the middle part of the rotor because that's what gets the hottest.
1200 degree paint should be good. I used Dupi-Color engine enamel is what i used.

I looks like it's still wet paint to me so that's probably why it is so shiney.

definitely use high temp paint (not rustoleum).

to solve the rust problem, buy some break cleaner and have fun grin

Thanks for the replies...trog2233- I just bought some brake paint in a spray bottle, and followed the directions on the install guide of this site. Thats probably about 4 coats, and yes, the paint was still wet which is why it looks so shiney grin

I didn't pay 40 bucks...they had "brake paint" in a spray can at an auto store and I paid like 4 dollars for it. Also, those 4 coats were very thin, and just enough to cover it. Been on for 4 weeks now and still looking good cool
