I think the bigger concern is the 55W. MAKE SURE they are the 55W bulbs. The 100W bulbs WILL melt your headlight assembly/wires/etc.

That is the MTECH lighting package that celica store sells, so you saying that 100w melts the headlight. Then celica store is selling MTECH bulbs that melt our headlights???

https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1862374707_0_collapsed_5__1.html MTEC bulbs are rated at the same class as PIAA. They are NOT some cheap bulbs you see on the market. MTECH bulbs are made with the latest technology and highest quality. MTEC's white light closly matches that of sunlight: MTEC 2x is bright and is a significant upgrade to stock. MTEC 4x is slightly brighter than 2x and shines a further distance. Because of the technology that MTECH uses in it's bulbs, MTECH 2x runs cooler than stock and MTECH 4x runs at about the same temperature as stock
Off-brand bulbs that are available at your local pepboys, target, autozone..etc run at a higher temperature than stock - even with the correct wattage installed. For those off-brands, you should use caution.Because MTECH Bulbs are manufactured in JAPAN, they are Genuine JDM. Specialized for racing. Extra long life. Simple fabrication. Many Genuine Toyota Service Centers not only recomend going with MTECH or PIAA when upgrading your vehicle's headlights - they also sell the lighting inside thier parts department.

I have almost the full MTECH kit and I love the look. I don't know how long I had them installed (several months) with no problems. They do run hotter than stock, no question about that. The whole headlight assembly is warm to the touch sometimes and it's not due to engine temps, because the hood is sometimes colder than my headlight assembly. Nothing with the harness/wires even looks fazed with the MTECHs. As good as new so I don't care especially if they heat up the condensation present before in my headlights.
