Ok so i buy my SAFC last week on the 23rd of Aug
I sent payment out for it the same day, i bidded off
a reputable ebay store with a very good feedback score you guys have prob. heard of it power_garage well i had boughten my springs there a whilea go so i didnt think much of it. Well i didnt hear anything from them for a while so on the 29th of Aug. i send him a email in the morning which i dont get repsonded until the next day stating that he didnt get the money order yet. so ive been emailing them yesterday and today and no answer. I finally call the travlers express company (the company of the money order) and give them the info on the money order, guess what they said it was cashed on the 26th of Aug. angry So now im stuck here waiting, i emailed the guy telling him he cashed my money orderand i want my item, i call there phone and it sendsme to an automated answer machine. I just want my product and i despise a bad ebayer who dosent communicate with there buyers. And now i dont know what to do.

That's why I never pay with money order or cashier check when buying online. Go with paypal or use your credit because they cover fraud.

Every form of payment besides cash should be covered by fraud, especially a money order and cashiers check.

Call Travelers Express and tell them the situation. They could possibly either refund you the money or help to get the situation resolved by some other means. If that doesn't work, the FBI has a website where you go to submit a claim and then they get on the case. Trust me, if that phone number's a working number, the feds will get your money back. Hope this helps. thumbsup

i'm suprised someone hasn't pointed out yet that it is in NO WAY eBay's fault for your experience. look at how many individual sellers and stores sell their merchandise through eBay. eBay does all they can do by providing feedback ratings and such. that's like blaming the flea market cause you got ripped off at some dude's booth. sorry for your situation, i hope it works out but giving eBay the thumbsdown isn't getting the correct message across to anyone. more like...power-garage thumbsdown

Protect yourself with knowledge. I've only bid or purchased items that I was educated about and they were things I could have purchased somewhere else but got on eBay because of the cheaper price. If you're bidding on a product on eBay that you understand you will be in a better position to judge how the seller presents it to you. eg. If I'm looking to get some new AC Autotech gauges for my car I look at the company website and various online stores to compare prices, I find photos and specs to see exactly what I should be getting, then I email the seller for a confirmation of their product (new in box, etc) and what applicable shipping charges. I also research the feedback. By the time I purchase I know I've done everything I could do safely...and shit could still happen but such is life. I also use PayPal and have not had a problem after dozens of purchases.

Contact the FTC. Since you paid via money order, it is now considered mail fraud which they DO take an interest in. I got burned on a trade and they send me some paperwork for it. Also, it is insured by ebay. There's a $25.00 deductable and they don't cover shipping. Better than a kick in the pants.

So is life.

It's not questionable.

The only people that get screwed are the ones too stupid to research something before they buy it.

eBay is nothing but a market place. As with any market place, you have good and bad sellers/buyers.

Just don't be a dumbass and you should be fine.

1. get law enforcement involved (FBI, FTC, whatever).

2. sue his ass if you can

3. leave some really negative feedback so no one falls in the same trap.

It may be a big company, but if I was doing business with them I would expect no less than prompt replies to my emails.

Keep copies of all the emails you have sent and received.

Whip up a geocities page with your complaint and all the details. Then leave negative feedback like so...
