b&m shortshifter...

I installed the B&M short shifter which i like i alot. But i still want to use the stock shift knob. When i screw the knob it gets all bad on me cause now the stick is shorter (the buttom of the knob). Did you guys put the stock knob on your shortshifter? If so how? can i cut the knob a little?

My stock knob fits fine. I had to put it back on because my aftermarket Carbon Fiber look/chrome one kept slippin off the rubber grommet on the shifter
