I want to take off the paint since its really $#@^ed up, i have had it painted for 5 months but then i saw how bad i did it and now my painting skills have increased so can anyone tell me how to take off the old paint? *BTW my center consoles are VERY rough*

My guess would be to tackle it with paint thinner. But i am sure people will come up with better ideas than that.

it can be sanded down to a smooth surface with a fine-grit paper and then primered and re painted

I wanted to remove the paint off my console too, but I heard that certain paint thinners eat the console plastic. Dont know if it is true but give it a try and tell me if it works. I dont want to risk my console. hehe

If you want to take off all the paint I used a gel stripper but it will take off all the paint including the stock silver paint underneath. If you want it back to stock your going to have a hard time. Prime and Paint over like Isaac said best way to do it. Be safe if your using some type of spray or liquid paint remover put the solution on a rag first and test the area you want to remove the paint from. If it works out well buff it all out.
