Octane buster

I always wanted to feel my car with a higher octane. Although I know there is no gain in hp whit better octane. I heard it feels really smooth. So I live in Gainesville, Florida and i doubt that any gas station has 100 octane. So I was just wondering if there is any octane buster that actually work...cuz I dont really believe on those things...thanks in advance guys

i usually fill it up with 91. and yes high octane makes more hp than without. Why do you think when they dyno cars with race gas they have like double than with pump gas. So yes higher octane does make diff. I have put octane booster before and it drives better and feels like it has better response

octane rate higher than the car need will not give the car more power. GT require 86+ and GTS require 91+. Racing car need even higher octane rate than 91 not because better octane rate give it more power, but it has to, otherwise the engine will knock. (higher compression ratio engine need higher octane gas)

^^ GT requires 87 btw, though I've never seen 86 sold anywhere...

I agree with Raptor that there is a Performance difference between 87 and 91. I can personally feel the difference when I fill up my GT. I don't know whether it can necessarily be measured on a dyno, but it is definitely a difference.

IMO, it does work. I was running on empty, I dumped two bottles of octane booster in & headed to the gas station. On the way there I came out of corner spinning, it was unreal how much horse was there. Of course it can't be good burning pure octane booster, but it burns better than gas, therefor it must improve combustion by adding it to gas. I have noticed a difference in a full tank. thumbsup

I put about 7 gallons of 104 in mine a couple of times. A little extra power...not much but it did make my baby purr like a kitten for about a week and a half!!!

well you could try at some local airport to see if they will sell you high octane gas...

but like a lot of people will tell you, the difference is negligable

sure, but we can still feel a difference, and logically higher octane = more Performance

We have it here at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown. Its like $5 a gallon, for 104. I think they also sell higher octanes but I stick to 104.

You can blow an engine if you push the octane too high. I'd definitely never put aviation fuel in a car like the GTS!

Also, depending on your location, you can get regular fuel below 87 octane. In Denver, I believe regular fuel is something like 85, and and premium is 89. I think because of the altitude and reduced ambient pressure, its OK to run lower octane.

Read up on octane, that is not the case.

To answer the original question, go to Gainesville raceway. I'm sure they have race gas there. And octane booster works but the increase in octane is minimal. So, when it says it increases octane by 5 points, that means you will get 93.5 out of 93 octane in the tank.
