FENDER FLARES are extensions you mount on your existing fenders. Almost all are made of glassfiber. You get some in carbon fiber aswell, and I've seen some made of plastic.

Examples of flares: http://www.krazykustomz.com/flares.html

F-1 FENDERS are replacement items for your stock fenders.
They come in various styles, and almost all in glassfiber.
Examples of fenders (including F-1 style):

If you're thinking about replacing your fenders with glassfiber ones, you need to think about a couple of things:

- If your car is lowered, and you've got some big rims, and these scrub against your arches...well, you can figure out yourself what happens if your arches all of a sudden are glassfiber instead of metal.

- If your car is lowered, and you've got some big rims, and you drive through a puddle of water, the water creates a lot of pressure inside your arches. This has caused glassfiber fenders to crack (I've seen pictures).

- If you live in a shitty expensive f'ing country like norway, where we have winter and snow from october/november through to april/may: Think about the buildup of snow inside your arches creating pressure, ice, etc...

That's my 2 cents.

I see the diff now. I def do NOT want to replace stock fenders. I need some radical flares. Here's a pic of my car. I need something radical to go w/ the front but not gonna break the bank. Will BRS go w/ my kit? Where can I see the BRS installed and buy it at a good price? Vizage kit w/ F1 front end:

BRS would look good with your car, most def, but you have to buy them, there very rare, trying to find one is hard, since they dont make them no more, if you really want some let me know, i know where you can get some!!
