So heres the scoop, i was leaving base this morning, with my wife in the car, and i came up to an intersection, it was one of those intersections that on my side, had an additional turning lane to turn right, that was curved off from the road to the other road, so i was sitting there, and i waited since there were other cars still coming, so i wouldnt have been able to go into the lane, when all of a sudden, ...bam..., my car lunges 10 feet into the middle of those two lanes, my brake was down, so all you heard was the car screeching, me and my wifes head gets major whiplash, (it still f**king hurts), and the next thing i know it, the cars that were driving in that lane, which is the reason why i didnt go, came to a grinding halt, and were inches off my driver door, i would've been crushed, so they backed off, i opened my door to go see what happened. Here i am thinking, f**k, there goes my bumper, its in pieces, its cracked, somewthing, i mean it was a hard as hell hit, i walked back there, and wouldnt you know it, no dent, and the only scratch was an inch long, thats it, all that and nothing, only a freaking little scratch, i was so relieved, but then i had to call the ambulance, becuase my wife got major whiplash and she couldnt move her head, they ambulance came, put a neck brace and then we went to the hospital where all they said was to keep on the brace and they gave her 800mg tylenol, shes knocked out right now.
Thank GOD however, that my baby was still in the daycare, if she was in the car, that stupid driver in the accord, would be dead, i would kill for my daughter.
And gues was his excuse was, i thought you were still moving, i ddint know that you stopped.
Okay, this is where you pull your finger out your nose and shove it up your ass because your an idiot, all in all, that celica is one though little cookie!!!

yeah, i plan on it, i have a best friend, whos a mechanic, whos doing all my mods for me, for free i might add, i just pay for parts, but i already called him and tomorrow myslef, him, and someone else who works for him are going to take off all the panels and see if theres any internal damage, i cant imagine that a hit that hard would only leave me with an inch long scratch!!! Not possible!!!

Well, the cops came, wrote up an incident report, i told the cop that i was going to drop the charges, knowing that it was just a scratch, and i didnt have time for the insurance s**t, either way im about to install a whole bodykit, so i wasnt worried, and even if there was something wrong with it, my boy would do it for me for free, so i wasnt worried about it. The cop still gave him a ticket though, reckless driving or involved in an accident that was his fault, whatever, but i hooked the guy up, he was like thanks for not doing anything, at least all he got was a ticket, his insurance wont go up that much more knowing that they dont have to fork over anymoney to fix anything, and he dont have to pay for the ambulance or hospital or whatever, becuase its all covered by the navy, however, i did have the cop report him to his chain of command, so he'll get fucked up by his command whenver he goes back to work on monday!!

Don't know about bad ass. The side of my Celica got crushed and ripped to shreds like a paper bag a few weeks ago. I guess that absorbed most of the energy though. Still, you could cause a lot of damage to modern cars by just using your fist.

Glad you guys are OK. The other driver "thought you were moving...?" Sounds like someone skipped too many remedial physics classes. grin

That reminds of the Toyota commercials when they redesigned in 2000, with the dog running into the back of the stopped GTS...lol

i was so mad, i swung that door opened, and i had the look on my face like i wanted to kill someone, i could see the look on his face, he prob got even more scared, when he realized, that i was way above what rank he was, so he knows that i could'eve caused him more damage.

though mine doesn't look so shiny...maybe needs a wipe...but looks more like the chromoly in my roll cage. I can see the side steel door beams and they are very thin compared to the behind-the-dash bar...wish they were just as big. Although the relatively low Celica is not likely to roll over, I would think it would fare well there too given the strong arch design.

off topic, but ya they hold up pretty well, and the headlights are indistructible... heres my crash, about 2 years ago, slid off the road after a snow plow side swipped me...
