I want to know if I lower my car with sportline springs (1.8 in front and 2.4 in the back) and I run 18" rims what is the best every day driveable tire to use; 215/35/18; 225/40/18; or 235/40/18 I still want a good looking low pro tire, but I want the right size to run. I think the 40 series is a little to thin, I need some advice.

If you think that 40 series tires are too thin, then go with 17's instead of 18's.

Yep. 1st number is the tread width. In other words, how wide the tread is.

2nd number is an aspect ratio. For example...

If your tire size is 200/50/16 (not a real size I think, but easier to do math on), then the tread width is 200 millimeters. The side wall can be figured by thinking of the middle number as a percentage, and multiplying it by the first number. 50% of 200 millimeters, means that your side wall is 100 millimeters tall, or wide.

And yeah, the 3rd number is your rim size.

your stock size for the GT is 195/60/15 which has an overall diamter of 24.126

if you went with a
215/35/18 your overall diameter would be 23.8695

or
215/40/18 overall diamter would be 24.708

so either way your not going to get an exact overall diameter just close... overall diameter changes your speedo so you dont want to get to far from the original overall diameter

Should work. I have that same setup, but on a 17 inch rim.
